FAQ

How many final images will we receive?

The amount of photos you receive will vary on the session type you choose.
I do provide you with all your best images delivered via online gallery for your to download and share. You will also have access to a high quality printing service and products, as well.
For more information on how many images, please refer to the investment tab at the various sessions offered!

Do you have recommendations on location ideas?

Yes! Once you place the deposit on your session, I will send you a planning guide with outfit and location ideas! Your location doesn't have to be from the guide, but merely is there to offer some ideas if you aren't sure or are traveling here on vacation and need some options.

What's the best time to get photos taken?

Sunrise and sunset are what most people are thinking of when they think of "the best time" to get photos taken. These times of the day provide the prettiest lighting, usually.
About an hour and a half to an hour before sunset is what photographers will often refer to as "golden hour". This is typically when most prefer to get photos taken because of the golden hues from the sunset.
However, the best time for you may be different, and that's okay! If you have small children, these times may not be feasible. I am flexible and we can make anything work!

Can we bring our pets?

Absolutely!

If you are wanting to bring your furry friends with you to a session, please do! Pets are often an integral part of the family, and it would make sense to include them when possible.

Some areas however do have policies in regards to when animals are permitted (public beaches in the area do not allow dogs on the beach between 10am-5pm during the busy months).

If you would like to include your pets in your session, just let me know when we are in the planning stages so we can make sure we find a best fit in terms of location and time for all species to have the best session possible.

Do you travel to other locations for sessions?

Yes! I love to travel and am happy to come to where you are!
I am based out of Myrtle Beach, SC, but am always open to coming to you. There is a travel fee of $0.57/mi when the trip becomes more than 50 miles round trip, and we can always discuss that further if you have a destination in mind that is out of state or hours away.

How long will it take to get our images?

Your gallery turnaround time will vary depending on time of year when you get photos (summer and around the holidays are popular times and can create a longer time from photo session to gallery delivery) and what type of session.

As a general rule of thumb, you can expect the following gallery delivery times:
Mini Sessions: 3 days - 1 week from session date
Portrait Sessions: Within 2 weeks from session date
Weddings: 4-6 weeks from session date

There is always a possibility that your photos could arrive sooner than what is estimated, as well!

How should we dress for our session?

Comfortably!
You will never look your best if you don't feel good, so I always recommend you dress in something that makes you feel your best!
I also will provide you with a photo session planning guide once you book your session with more tips and tricks on how to dress to make sure you and your group look their best together during your session.

What if the weather is bad on the day of our session?

Coastal weather is unpredictable!
It may be beautiful in the morning and a rainy mess in the evening, or the other way around. You just never know until the day of.
I always offer the option to reschedule if you are not comfortable with the conditions on the day of your session.
If you are traveling in from out of town I encourage you to book your session early on in your trip to give a buffer in case there is a need to reschedule.
Should we have to cancel entirely, you will be refunded your session fee less the $50 nonrefundable deposit.

We're awkward...

GREAT! Me too!
I always say at each session that we are going to "embrace the awkward" because not everyone always feels confident or camera ready, and that's okay! I have tons of prompts and ways to make your session feel more like a fun time together and less like a stiff, formal experience. We're going to have a great time! Plus, those blooper photos are always the best!

How do you take payment?

I use an online system to deliver your contract and invoice.

Most people chose to use this system to pay securely, via card, online. However, if you need to pay a different way we can accommodate what best suits your needs.

I take a $50 non-refundable deposit upon the time of booking to secure your date and then break up the remainder of the session cost over 2-4 payments (depending on session type/cost) leading up to your session.

If you need a different payment plan or breakdown, please let me know so we can work something out. I am happy to work with you!
